Inside “Exhale”: A Sold-Out Evening of Harp-Centered Wellness in Atlanta
Exhale: An Evening of Sound, Meditation, and Music welcomed a full house for two back-to-back sessions in East Point, Georgia — and both sold out.
This one-hour harp-centered wellness offering brought together live music, guided meditation, and immersive sound healing to create space for community members to slow down and breathe. It’s part of a growing movement to bring accessible, high-quality wellness experiences to Atlanta and beyond — especially for communities historically denied access to rest and holistic care.
What Is Exhale?
Exhale is a wellness event centered around live harp music, sound healing, and meditation. Designed for up to 50 participants per session, each offering lasts one hour and includes:
A grounding meditation
Live harp and sound bath performance
Gentle breathwork and intention setting
Space for reflection and quiet rest
Created and facilitated by Angelica Hairston, a harpist along with co-facilitator sound practitioner, Shawn J. Moore, a mindfulness guide and sound healer, Exhale meets at the intersection of music, wellness, and collective care.
Why It Matters
Exhale is rooted in the belief that rest is a form of resistance — and that presence is a form of power.
Too often, BIPOC communities, artists, and caregivers are expected to push through without pause. Exhale was created to challenge that narrative — offering an intentional space to breathe, restore, and reconnect through sound.
This is not a luxury experience. It’s a necessary one.
By combining live music with mindfulness practices, Exhale helps participants reset their nervous systems, reduce stress, and build deeper connections to themselves and each other. For many attendees, it was their first time experiencing rest in this way — through live harp, community meditation, and shared stillness.
Who It's For
Exhale serves a diverse audience — artists, educators, parents, nonprofit leaders, wellness practitioners, and everyday people seeking grounding and restoration.
It's a space provided for:
Community wellness programs
Corporate wellness initiatives
Retreats, conferences, and festivals
Museums and cultural institutions
Mental health and healing justice spaces
Whether hosted in a yoga studio, city space, or arts venue, Exhale is designed to meet people where they are — and invite them into something deeper.
The Impact So Far
Our first three Exhale event, held in partnership with the City of East Point, were all a powerful success. With high demand, both sessions reached full registration — and a waitlist quickly followed.
The feedback was clear: people are craving this kind of offering. Something that blends intention with artistry. A moment to truly breathe.
What’s Next?
We’re already planning the next Exhale for Fall 2024 and beyond are seeking:
